TLC Online FAQs
Our Institution is not new to Online Learning, we have already established our expertise through an Online Bachelor Degree in Education through TOGI (Two Oceans Graduate Institute) for post Matric Students who qualify with a Bachelors pass. Learners will be engaging with their respective Educators at scheduled time slots during the course of the day. They will be interacting via our Learning Management System as well as Live Video Conferencing Sessions. All sessions will be available offline should a learner fail to attend the live session of lesson. These will be uploaded to our LMS for future reference as well. Parents upon request can obtain log files from our Educators to see how active learners have been on the LMS, to ensure that the work load is met with on a daily or weekly basis. TLC Online has partnered with an IT Company to ensure all registered Learners get free Online Tech Support and Service Call Outs (if required) at a subsidized fee. For Online Learning we recommend 8Mbps downloads with 2Mbps upload speed and a minimum of 20GBs of Data per month . A Laptop with these recommended specifications: Intel I3 CPU, 4GBs of Memory, 500GB Hard Drive, Webcam, Windows 10, Microsoft Office and Antivirus (we recommend ESET). Desktop Computer's can also be used but we advise on investing in a UPS as Eskom Load shedding is unpredictable. Yes are required to have a Webcam as Learner engagement is an integral part of the Online Learning process. Yes we have a dedicated Technical Team who is available 24/7 for Remote Support to registered Learners but have also been mandated to assist with any Technical queries for new Applications. Feel free to Contact them during office hours, details are available on our Contact Us Page. All TLC Online Learners are registered learners at “The Leadership College” who is accredited with WCED. That means that they would generally belong to a physical school with Online Learning as the medium of choice. We will continue Online Learning indefinitely at TLC Online however, should a Learner in future wish to be integrated back into normal School, placement will be arranged at our Private School TOLA (Two Oceans Leadership Academy) located in Grassy Park, Cape Town. All Learning will be done Online, the Quarterly Examinations will be conducted at our Testing Center in Grassy Park or other dedicated Testing Centers around Cape Town depending on the numbers of learners per location. This information will be made public closer to Examination dates well in advance. Classes will run on schedule daily from 8am - 2pm from Monday to Thursday and 8am - 12pm on a Friday Why choose TLC Online?
