About TLC Online and TLC (The Leadership College)
On the 18th of January 2010, The Leadership College opened in Manenberg. TLC as it is commonly known offered completely zero fees schooling where learners receive uniform, stationery, excursions, etc. at no cost. Today TLC still exists but the success has encouraged our institution to assist those learners beyond Grade 12. In June 2017 the Two Oceans Graduate Institute was registered with the South African Department of Higher Education and Training where some learners of TLC are now currently studying to obtaining their Bachelors Degree in Education.
Innovative
Although being in Education for more than 30 years we have always been innovative in creating better and equal educational opportunities for all. With the evolution of Technology, we now offer Online Learning to learners from High and Primary School.
Pricing
TLC remains invested in Education, therefore we offer competitive pricing to accommodate all. Due to the current demand we are not at the present time able to offer bursaries but there are already plans under way to offer scholarships to learners who obtain above average results.
Online Learning
Our Institution is not new to Online Learning, we have already established our expertise through an Online Bachelor Degree in Education through TOGI (Two Oceans Graduate Institute) for post Matric Students who qualify with a Bachelors pass.
Tech Support
TLC Online has partnered with an IT Company to ensure all registered Learners get free Online Tech Support and Service Call Outs (if required) at a subsidized fee. All the relevant information can be found under our FAQ section.
Why Choose TLC Online?
Structured Online Classes
Learners will be engaging with their respective Educators at scheduled time slots during the course of the day. These sessions will be available offline should a learner fail to attend the live session of lesson.
Learning Management System
All literature and lesson content will be available on the LMS (Learning Management System) for after lesson plan work, where Educators are able to see the learners subject progress.
Parent Engagement
Parents upon request can obtain log files from our Educators to see how active learners have been on the LMS, to ensure that the work load is met with on a daily or weekly basis.
Online Storage and the Suite Access
Learners will be allocated a School e-mail address for the purpose on Login Credentials to the LMS as well as file sharing between other Learners (Group Projects) and Educators. The Suite will also allow Learners to attend Online Sessions from any device of their choice.
Accredited Institution
Our office premises is located at one of our Schools “Two Ocean Leadership Academy”. Mostly administration staff and support staff will be on-site as Educators might be working from remote locations around the country.
Technical Support
Free Online Support is offered to all Learners enrolled at TLC Online, however should a site visit to your premises be required, our partnered IT Support Company can be call out for a minimum charge, as part of the cost will be subsidized by TLC Online. Scheduled visits to access and resolve Technical related matters are only available to Learners in Western Cape at present.
Advance Learning Program
The complete program for all Grades offered is in line with WCED CAPS (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements). Although our Learning will be Online we will be having our Testing and Examinations conducted at one of our Testing Centers for the Quarterly Examinations. Locations will be made available closer to Examination Time well in advance.
Future Proof Academic Structure
In the year 2020 we have all seen the 1st Global Pandemic, that without a doubt has changed the way we live, the way we interact, the way we travel, the way we work and the way we learn, just to mention a few. These changes have become a new norm and going back to the way things were before is virtually impossible. We have learned many good and bad from the Global Pandemic, however Online Learning has not only evolved but it has allowed Institutions like ourselves to offer Quality Education delivered to you almost anywhere.
